Leahs Birthday Party

We had Leah's Birthday party on Saturday May 22nd at the park near our house. We were so grateful to all the friends and family that came to celebrate with us.

We had a flower theme and I made a flower shaped cake and we had a matching flower shaped balloon and some flower windmills. I also made a banner with pictures for every month of Leah's first year. We ended up having 60 mile/hour winds that day which was really upsetting for me. I didn't get to put up her banner and some of the other decorations, and all the balloons popped before any of the guests even arrived. I got over it though and realized that things aren't always going to go how I plan them and that the most important thing was that Leah had a good time, and she did :). She was way too spoiled by everyone and got lots of nice toys and gifts. In the end, everything went well, but I think next year I'll plan her party indoors :).

Here are some pictures to enjoy (the order is backwards because bloggers picture upload system is annoying).

She is so beautiful!!!! We are so glad we could make it down to see her birthday. It's so neat to me when one of my friends from so long ago has a baby.
