The Order Of Women With Tiny Toes In Their Organs.

So I am now at 30 weeks!  Only 10 weeks left (maybe a little less if I'm lucky).  Baby girl has been moving around a LOT!  Her favorite places to settle these days seem to be my ribs and my bladder, which is not a ton of fun for me.

Here is a recent picture of me:
Ok, obviously I'm kidding, but this is how I feel lately.

Here is the real picture:
You can see that I was really thrilled to be taking this picture.

And here is one of me back at 12 weeks, just to remind myself that I didn't always look like a hippo, and hopefully wont someday in the future :)

I copied this excerpt from a blog on babycenter.com.  I thought that this lady did a really good job of describing the feeling of having a baby with their foot wedged in your ribs.

Having a small foot in your rib cage.

Not only does it make a pelvic tilt almost impossible while working out... I found that to be true this morning, but it pretty much makes the most simple of tasks like sitting, standing, and speaking quite a challenge. Plus, how do you describe to someone this feeling, unless they have been pregnant? Of course the previous or current preggos give you the nod and nose tap of full understanding like you are part of some cult, The Order of the Women with Tiny Toes in their Organs. I spend a majority of my day pushing this tiny body part away from my rib cage. But I guess he just can't take the hint or perhaps what lies behind my rib cage is a warm jelly that he can't go 2 minutes without feeling... I guess we will just never really know for sure.

So anyways, It may not be too clear from this post, but all is still going well.  We are getting really excited about meeting our baby girl, and it isn't too far away at this point.

Oh....at least it's a cute hippo. And you don't look like one, but I know you just feel like...well something that waddles, right? :)
Sorry about all the movement, but at least you know she's doing good...here's to hoping the last few weeks go by super fast!
Oh - and are you having a baby shower? Probably a huge mass one with family, but just making sure.

Hi Ash.
Been there - done that. It really does bring back memories. But...both Emily and Megan were breach until the doctor turned them 2 weeks before my due date, so I didn't have feet in my ribs, I had their ginormous heads!! And they spent their time kicking my bladder. You really don't look like a hippo. You look GREAT!! Even when you don't think your skin will stretch any further, it will. I can't wait for our little Nishleigh to get here. Love to you ALL!
